Comment: I bought this laptop as a replacement for a Dell Inspiron that I've had for a couple of years. I'm a software developer and needed a bigger hard drive for all my tools, but didn't want to shell out $800 for a new laptop. I got this one at Office Depot for $599 after the $50 rebate from HP. The 17" screen is a big plus and the clarity is amazing. The keyboard and mouse have a nice tactile feel, quality seems excellent. It comes with Windows 7 which is a nice change from Vista. Windows 7 is a bit faster than Vista, but unfortunately still comes with all the UAC crap, which you can turn off. I'm actually quite surprised that a laptop of this quality is so inexpensive! I've only bought Dells over the last 10 years and only looked at this machine when Dell took too long to fill my order and I cancelled it. I'm very glad that I did. You will be too.

Comment: I bough this Laptop to design albums and slideshows for my photography business just to use some software that are exclusive for PC. The Laptop Loads very fast when you turn it on and the windows 7 feels very light and stable.
The battery life is closer to 1.5 hours and not even close to 4 hours. I have had before 3 HP and this one is the lighter in weight.
