Summary: Not much new for old users, great for newbies
Comment: Im a steadfast user of QW 2008 which is probably the most used program I have, how else do you juggle 10 bank accounts and 5 credit cards and a mortgage and one or two investments? If I did not own 2008, I would happily take to 2010 with its easy entry etc and all of the above abilities and many more. However if you own a prior version ie 07-09 you may not notice much new in 10, so I would wait until there is a major upgrade or the program year you have is finaly unsupported.So, if you dont have QW yet, BUY, if you alreaady own, HOLD.

Comment: After you purchase the new version it now has adds. As if paying for quicken wasnt bad enough. Horrible UI, very unintuitive. I need to find something better but do not like the online tools like mint.

Comment: Pretty Box with only a disc, no instruction manuel. I did not have a very good feeling about loading this without a manuel. You always expect some kind of
instructions and then they (Intuit) wants to charge for some of their help services. This is rotten business.

Summary: Zero Star!! Too User Unfriendly
Comment: I upgraded to Quicken 2010 from Quicken 2006 and was very disappointed! Quicken 2010 was so user unfriendly - eliminated features that I have come to depend on in Quicken 2006. A lot of windows popping up everywhere that were very annoying and difficult to close. It got on my nerves. It does not allow me to assign more than one category per transaction that I was able to do with 2006. I had to use "tags" instead of category to give a transaction more than one "category" which was not the same and as a result makes budgeting difficult. If I paid for medications at Target, for example, along with my non-medical purchases such as say, a light bulb. I had to give the transaction only one category - some was medical and some was "home repair" but since I could assign only one category, the light bulb purchase ended up being counted toward medical expenses. So, when I run an overview of our spending - medical expense summary would not be accurate because it included non-medical purchases like the light bulb. This is very annoying. I also cannot manually check off downloaded transactions with one click - I had to go through several steps to "accept"/check off new transactions. It was a little too simplistic for me. I was very frustrated with the whole software. Overall, for me, it did not feel like a upgrade but more like a downgrade. Terrible product - highly unrecommended!!

Comment: I previously was using the Home & Business version, which was a little easier to navigate. Software is good for following investments and checking/savings accounts. Sometimes the one-step update feature takes a little too long.
