Customer Rating: Summary: WINDOWS 7 Is WAY OVERHYPED Comment: I "Upgraded" from Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Bit to Windows & Home Premium 64 Bit and EVERYTHING runs SLOWER...From boot up to sending e-mail It is SLOWER..and this is on a Core2 Quad INTEL 3.00GHZ Procesor machine with8 Gb of DDR2 ram and a DEDICATED(or discrete 256 MB Invidia PCI EXPRESS Video Card)...I HATE Windows 7 and WILL be going back to VISTA by Sunday......I`m sick of putting up with sluggish performance and system stalls just so I have the latest Microsoft OS installed......PULEEEEEZE!
Customer Rating: Summary: Wish I had read this closer before buying....Thanks for nothing MS. Comment: NOTICE this in the description if you are upgrading from XP:
"Before beginning the installation, you'll need to copy your files and settings to an external drive. After Windows 7 has been installed you will need to re-install all of your programs using the original installation media and then copy over the files and settings you backed up to your external drive. "
Customer Rating: Summary: So far so good Comment: I was a Vista user and it was a big disappointment. For some reasons, the Vista patches were not getting updated automatically and I had no choice but to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate. It has been over a month, I have not seen any issue with Windows 7. I use ubuntu on my home computer, I just hope that Microsoft can provide a product with the ease as ubuntu for business use...
Customer Rating: Summary: Is it worth the money? Comment: There is not much change from VISTA [for the average user that is]; therefore, it is not worth the money - but then again this is the trick Microsoft always use to get your money and in a couple of years they will, no doubt, do it again!
Customer Rating: Summary: Windows 7 Ultimate upgrade Comment: It is great. Of course, I had the Microsoft technical support team help me with a lot of the change over from Vista to Windows 7 but they were fabulous, just geniuses! I am glad to have Vista gone and Windows 7!!
