Summary: Overall a great toy but needed a little modification
Comment: I bought this for my 4 year old. He loves it. We had a couple problems initially. One, it kept falling over. Little brother tipping it over contributed greatly to this problem. I was able to take apart the base, which is hollow, by removing 4 screws. Then, I got a Ziplock bag and filled it with sand...actually I double bagged, a hole would be QUITE messy. I then replaced the base being careful not to puncture my bag with the screws. Weighting the base worked GREAT at keeping this toy upright. The next problem is that the suspension cables keep coming loose. Easy to fix, but annoying. I plan on replacing them with black zip ties...have not done that yet, but I think it will work. With those changes, I think the toy will be great. Not sure why the manufacturer could not have come up with these little fixes....I wish the crane lifting motor was a little stronger too... hot wheels cars are about as much as it can handle. Well, I sound pretty negative about this toy, but it is a great value for the money and my son is the true judge.

Comment: 4 year old grandson loved playing with crane, so much that the string began unraveling so I was told. Looks like maybe the string is the weakest part.

Comment: This is a great toy... my kids LOVE it. The only issue was that it kept tipping over, and the 'cables' kept coming off. When it is assembled and working properly it is an amazing little toy! My kids played for hours with it.

Summary: Favorite toy from Santa 2007
Comment: My 4 yr. old son loves this crane....says it is his favorite toy from Santa. He played with this all day. We thought the batteries would run out but they didn't and he just loves it. It is made well.....best purchase I made this year.
