There was much confusion in the reviews that I read before purchasing it about its claim to be a 2-1/2 gallon humidifier. If you read the box, the fine prints says that the 2-1/2 gallon figure refers to its daily OUTPUT not the size of its reservoir, which is a little misleading since that information is not in the product description that you can read before you buy.
